Several months ago I took a Colors and Bottles class and remembered how much I enjoy painting. Well, who wouldn’t like to paint when they let you BYOW? Any time you mix friends, paint and wine, it’s bound to be a good time. I’m not a great artist by any means, but I do enjoy painting on canvas if I’m feeling inspired by something. If it results in something worth hanging, then I try my best to find a place for it in my home, but so far, only one painting has made the cut:
It is currently in our bedroom, but not so sure it will be hanging in our new place once we move. To continue with the color scheme and geometric lines in our zen Moroccan bathroom, I wanted to put some small canvases I have to use. They’ve been in the same plastic bag I brought them home in when I found them on sale, along with the paint. I found this blog post and I am definitely going to try it out. I just need to grab some painter’s tape first. I really like the clean lines and the color contrast. It reminds me of the new shower curtain. I am not so sure yet if I want to use green, or maybe a rich shade of a golden yellow to contrast. What are your thoughts? When I finish them, I’ll post an update of the bathroom with the new artwork!
