28 Lovely Days and Project 365: Week 13 Recap

01 Feb

Happy February 1! January flew by, didn’t it? This month I’m participating in another Instagram challenge. You’ll remember I did #30thankfuldays in November, but in February the theme is #28lovelydays. The idea is to take and post a photo a day of something you love. If you’re participating, please leave your Instagram info in the comments section below so we can all follow you, too! And be sure to use the hashtag #28lovelydays. You can follow me here.

Here is the Week 13 recap (90 days complete already!) with an explanation of the photos beside each one. Constructive criticism is welcome, as always!

Day 85 (January 24, 2014): Thankful (these are the moments for which we’re most thankful from 2013. Time to start a new jar!) Read more about the idea behind this jar here.

Day 86 (January 25, 2014): Frosty mailboxes

Day 87 (January 26, 2014): Serenity (This is for a theme one of my photography groups is doing this week….my first self portrait as well…these are much harder to take than I thought). This is Serenity Day 1.

Day 88 (January 27, 2014): Serenity Day 2 — coffee and a candle in the early morning

Day 89 (January 28, 2014): Serenity Day 3 — nothing says serenity on a frigid day like cashmere socks

Day 90 (January 29, 2014): Serenity Day 4 — Early morning light and my coffee (the most serene time of day for me)

Day 91 (January 30, 2014): Serenity Day 5 — Serenidad

Will you be participating in the #28thankfuldays challenge? If so, leave your info below! How’s your Project 365 going if you’re doing one right now? Thinking about doing one, but haven’t started yet? If so, why not?

Love the shot of the mailboxes, great detail. And great job with the self-portrait. I was also surprised at how difficult it is, especially getting the focus right.

Thanks, Mary 🙂 Yes, the self portrait is really difficult, and I still didn’t get it right. My focus was too much on the sofa and not me. I have some tricks to try for next time to get it right though!

I decided to do #28lovelydays, because I had such a fun time doing the November challenge. I look forward to following your photos 🙂
