I recently finished up another crochet project and it was a hit among my friends, especially those with little girls. I bought some beautiful Camila cotton purple variegated yarn when we were in Brazil over the holidays and knew I wanted to make a cute jacket for our niece. I chose Mon Petit Violon‘s Buttoned Jacket pattern to make this sweet little gift. I picked up 4 buttons to make the closure and crocheted the 18-24 month size for her. I love how it turned out.
I thought this pattern was well written and easy to follow. I almost added some little pockets to the front, but decided in the end that they weren’t really necessary and that the jacket was great without them. I am sure I’ll be making this jacket again to give as gifts to other baby girls in the future. I love the double-button closure, and I’m kind of wishing I had a jacket with a closure like it.
If you’re also a fan of Mon Petit Violon’s patterns, you can enter this competition to win a 6-month free subscription to her patterns. Voting among the top 5-10 designs will start in June. This jacket is my entry in the competition. Wish me luck! 🙂
