Perfect Timing: Week 52

07 Dec

Perfect Timing is a weekly photography project by two friends who met in college, became roommates and have been close ever since. We share a love for languages and travel, and although we’re from the same southern state, we now live on different continents, balancing a demanding work life with a private life. We both agree that everything happens for a reason, whether we see these moments as positive or negative at the time, propelling us ahead or slowing us down. We hope you will join us each week, as we share little moments of Perfect Timing with you.

This is it. The last week of our Project 52, “Perfect Timing.” As I was racking my brain for a photo this week, I realized I wanted to write a post and capture an image about something that’s been on my mind lately: living intentionally.

I know that this is a phrase that seems overused lately, but it is something I would like to strive for. I think I’ve begun that with the newest chapter that began for us this summer after we purchased our first home. We’ve worked on our house very intentionally, making sure to take our time about how we want to change it to fit our lifestyle and the feel we want it to have. It’s slowly coming together, and the process has been really rewarding. Like most things, the process is really the most special part–not the goal itself. So, with many other things in life, I’d like to take more time to live this way, intentionally and taking time to enjoy the process or journey that it takes to reach a goal or just to move from one day to the next.

As I was cleaning up some things in my office this afternoon, I found this card I received at an event this year, and the quote couldn’t have been more perfect. I hope you enjoyed our Project 52. We certainly have! There are plans in the works for what our next one will be. So, stay tuned. xo

Week 52{intention}

Mary of Moe-Digger Photography and I became friends in college after we realized how much we had in common. We each grew up with three brothers, played sports and studied history, languages and cultures. I still remember our SLR cameras and our love for shooting with film. We have shared many wonderful experiences together over the years and have supported each other through some of the most significant moments in our adult lives. I am excited to take on this project with her. Check out Mary’s Perfect Timing photo for this week, too: Coloring.
